An example would be doing business in China. Sure they will tell you that contacts are key and take a name card with both hands, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. In order to succeed in China there is oh so much more.
So let’s develop a list of some of the best practices of foreigners who have had success in China.

• A sentence MUST to learned in China now: Do you believed? However, I believed!
It is very important to develop/maintain Guan-xi (personal connections) in China. However, in today’s complex business context, it was found that the customer orientation—customer trust—firm performance (CTP) causal linkages are most salient when the firm develops a moderate level, rather than a high (remember: too much good thing is not necessarily good) or low level of networking ties with government agencies. The Moderating Role of Institutional Networking in the Customer Orientation-Trust/Commitment-Performance (CTP) Causal Chain, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, 36(2), 202-214.
